Laurel is the best!! THE best luncheonette in LB. Food is always fresh- nice green salads, delicious juicy burgers; staff is awesome- dependable and really nice. Doesn’t matter what you order, they do everything right.

their chicken fried rice is amazing. first of all.

I have never been overcharged and they are usually extremely speedy with their delivery. I order from them at work all the time. Their prices are good, and i’ve always found them to be very nice. they don’t forget the extra’s either. (always give me extra utensils, sauce, napkins, they don’t conveniently forget my free soda or anything of that nature.)

all in all its my favorite chinese place in LB.

So I decided to get the Gyro plate that I got to go, at this restaurant and it was by far the worse Gyro Plate that I ever had. The major problem is that they put your 6 pcs of meat at the bottom of the plate and then put a ton of salad on top of it and of course the result is ICE COLD meat at the bottom of the tray. The sauce is some of the worst that I have ever had and the pita bread has got to be store bought. I used to take out at this restaurant all the time and it wasn’t great but it wasn’t awful either, but now it is downright worse then awful…..I will never show my face there again!!!!!!

Overall great. Slightly pricy but good sushi. Doesn’t skimp on fish or overload on rice. Oh and ignore certain genius reviewers that say it’s “typical chinese fare” it’s a japanese restaurant

The service is the worst in long beach, the girls at the register need to go. If they represented my company the way they do, the would be gone with no chance of rehire. What a shame, the food was good, so at least they got something right just loose the idiots up front……….

Well I will say the food was good (not great) but most important is the fact that the service was not so great, I was waited on by employee HH and she had a terrible attitude and should not be dealing with people, maybe they should have her clean toilets instead…….they dont have feelings. Just a suggestion

The food is excellent. John the Chef amkes great food. I love both of your stores and my family loves all your salads, cold cuts, and of course your pasta disjes and rice balls. If you are in Oceanside and East Northport you have to go to one of their stores. I am always greeted with a smile from Sandro and my catering orders are always done for my son by Joe. I love Colleen who is kind and happy ringing up my order and Maria always tells me the best breads to buy for my family. Thank you guys

The restaurant is HORRIBLE. Not only was the mozzarella on our lasagna rancid, there were more insects in the place than customers!

This place is amazing! They have a full vegan menu that is absolutely superb! The Vegan Mozzarella Sticks are too die for! We have been saying for years that someone needs to make good vegan mozzarella sticks and I certainly think they have succeeded!

As of 1/9/10 They would not honor the coupon for the Free 2 Liter Soda If you Purchased Over $20.00 – I was told menu was out dated… I feel that if the menu is published – they should have honored it… Also- if you are using Hungry Menus Website to draw in customers… If you change your menu and pricing- why not update your menu on the site as well- I did not like ordering at one price only to find out that I had to spend about $5.00 extra… I will not order from here again!

I love this place. The food is good, the owner and staff are hard-working and friendly. There is always a special going on. It’s a no-frills, comfortable place to take out or eat in. The food tastes very fresh. With the TV in the corner, it feels almost like you are in someone’s home. The owner/chef will often bring meals to your table and he wants to make sure everything is okay. Very good service.

We were there on a Saturday. Maybe the staff, including the cooking staff were different as it was Shabbat. The matzo ball in the soup was SOUR (had to send it back), the french fries were one second away from BURNT (wish I sent it back) and the waiter was slovenly and surly. I am always looking for a good deli, but I don’t think this is it.

I go here for breakfast or lunch often. Never had a bad crepe. Everything is fresh and made to order with the finest ingredients. My personal favorite is the chicken and spinach crepe. It is accompanied by a fantastic little salad. The soup of the days are always amazing and the orange juice is expensive, but fresh squeezed and made to order as well. Definitely recommended. The atmosphere is also great!

I stopped in to get a hot dog (pretty simple, you would think). They were working on a catering order and instead of taking one out of the catering order that was almost ready, they served me an ICE COLD hot dog from the batch they must have just put on the grill. Did they think I wasn’t going to notice? All they had to do was ask me to wait one minute while it cooked.

As I’m writing this, Maxx’s has been closed down since Feb. 10, 2008. Lee Norden, the owner and hands on manager of Maxx’s, has done quite a feat; he opened the worst Kosher Deli in the history of the State of New York. He did LOTS OF THINGS that I cannot discuss on here, but all I can say about that is THE PUBLIC IS NOW SAFE from this horror of a human being. Let us not forget that blame is also to be placed at the so called “Glatt Kosher Supervision”, that he had, which states among other things that Mr. Norden was SABBATH OBSERVANT. That alone is a hilarious statement. Goodbye Mr. Norden, good riddance.

I live two blocks away from new town and have been eating there regularly for years. they have never once over charged me and were always nice on the phone. the delivery woman on the bike really actually doesn’t speak english well and when she first started working there she would litterally only showed me the bill and not say anything. so this guy is probably lying and don’t listen to him because new town I a great chinese restaurant and you’d miss out on a good dinner.

Gino’s Pizza is excellent!! It tastes very New Yorkish because the slices are pretty big so you have to fold them in half when you eat a slice! I’ve also been there lots of times with my family as well. I also tried their stuffed pizzas filled with sausage,pepperoni,ham,cheese, etc. Both of my sisters and I are really crazy about their Italian Ices. We split their Rainbow Flavored Ice on the day we picked up dinner to go while we were visiting our grandmother a few years ago. I just love New York Style Pizza because it really hits the spot!

I live on the east end and decided to give it a try. I would like to comment on how the food taste but I ordered two hours ago and my food still isn’t here. How long does it take to make a burrito and bring it four blocks? You would think they make the food in Mexico and smuggle it up to Long Beach or something. Terrible service, especially when they keep telling you the are on the way for over an hour.

These people have overcharged me between $10 and $15 the last three times I ordered from them.
The first time I waqsn’t paying too much attention and thought it was my mistake.
The secolnd time I had family over, and left money for my son to pay for the delivery.
He gave me $3 change from the $60 I gave him. It was disturbing because what I ordered should have cost in the upper 30″s.
Last night I ordered again, but paid attention. According to their menu, my bill should have been $32.00 plus tim.
The Oriental woman on a bicycle. who had deliver the previous few times, asked me for 48.50. Conveniently, she all of a sudden did not speak or understand English.
I called the restaurant to speak to the owner. A very glib telephone girl informed me that there was a mistake and my bill was $33.25.I asked to speak to the owner and was conveniently informed he did not speak any English.
It’s not the money, it’s the principal.I hate to be ripped off,
Stay away from this joint!!!!

The Lido Kosher Deli of Long Beach has really great stuff!!! I’ve been there many times with my family when visiting my grandmother in Long Island. Their Hambugers and sandwiches are scrumptious and, their pickles are the best!!! So is their Pea soup with the crutons on top!! Also, their french fries are to die for and they taste very potatoey!!
The food is awesome at the Kosher Deli and this was also one of my grandmother’s favorite places to eat at. She would always order a tounge sandwich with a bowl of peasoup. Also, I love their kinishes. The cornbeef and potato kinishes are my favorite so I very much enjoy the food at the Lido Kosher Deli of Long Beach. We always get great service everytime we come there to eat. The associates are very nice and I enjoy eating there. I love their roastbeef, turkey, cornbeef and pastrami sandwiches as well! Their menu has tons and tons of great stuff to pick from. So, we are always happy everytime we come to the Lido Kosher Deli of Long Beach NY in Nassau County!

A local landmark, been going here for nearly 30 years. Stuffed meat pizza is very good and the Sicilian and Neopolitan pizza is reliable Long Island style. Nice interior. Located in a good spot directly across from the LIRR. Can get crowded at lunchtime and dinnertime.

I don’t know what happened to them, about 3 years ago this place had some excellent Chinese and decent sushi. Last 2 visits during the past year the sushi was horrible and old tasting, while the Chinese was average, at best. It’s a shame to see a good restaurant go downhill like they have.

Wally’s a bit cheap with his portions but makes a good corned beef on rye, the best in Long Beach. His staying power on that street is a testament to the good food here, I’ve seen many businesses come and go on that street over that past 20 years.

The place is out of the 80′s Miami scence. I became really aggitated when I was finished eating and wanted to leave. I had my jacket on and almost walked out without paying because they wouldn’t give me the dam bill. This happened more than once and to a few other people I know. Good food. Chris racism is a pretty serious charge to level at a restaurant. I would be really interested in hearing of some specific instances where you have suffered, or seen someone suffering from their discrimination.

Personally I have eaten there once or twice and I wasn’t very impressed by the food or the service. The food tried too hard to be fancy, and the service seemed disinterested.

Had Sunday brunch, the service was good, the food tasty, but for a brunch I had 1 criticism. I like to eat healthy, and for brunch I like egg white omlets with various fresh veggies , but Minnesotas does not offer egg whites, Other than the pear salad, there was not much to choose from for the health conscious patron.

I also like this place a lot. The food isn’t necessarily anything special, its just diner food, but they deliver all over long beach. That means you can have any kind of food you want in about half an hour. Dinners ready!

The food from this restaurant is always of the highest quality. If you want some really greasy, juicy, drippingly delicious mexican food, than this is the place to go.

The only problem I have is that sometimes when you call for a delivery, they say it can take more than an hour. Its never taken us more than 45 minutes to get a delivery but still, when your hungry you definitely don’t want to have to wait

There is nothing bad about the hibachi at this place it’s utterly amazing. The Sushi lacks compared to Nagahama but the Clear soup at Kawasaki is great.

Overrated there’s better pizza 45 minutes away in NYC but it’s not bad alternative to the other horrible pizza in LB.

Andaley over to Burrito Loco, you can’t beat the distinctive flavors of text mex. Sweet tacos, nachos, gorditas,chiquitas,and wanita.

All around pretty good food. It may seem expensive but it’s worth it.

This restaurant is consistently good food, produced in an amazingly small kitchen. Presentation is sometimes a little slack, but quality is usually satisfactory + I recommend as long as you don’t mind the crowds on weekend evenings.
